With
the release of the Dragon for
2012, the Perth Mint launches
the FIFTH animal in this 12-year
series of the Asian Lunar Calendar
coins.
The
one-ounce gold coins are struck
in .9999 pure gold, and each
is limited to a mintage of 30,000.
Each coin comes encapsulated
in its own package as issued
by the Perth Mint.
Collector and speculator interest in the Dragon issue has been enormous, and likely this whole series will become more popular in the years approaching the final issue year of 2019.
